Responsibility Details:
The Export Development Fund was established under the EDF Act, 1999. It operates within the Ministry of Commerce and supports programmes intended to strengthen exports, facilitate trade, encourage enterprise development, and improve Pakistan’s position in international markets. EDF has recently been notified as an autonomous entity with a reconstituted board having a private-sector majority.
The successful executive will work in a performance-focused leadership environment and report to the Chairman of the EDF Board. The appointment will be made for three years on a performance-based contract with Board-approved key performance indicators. A market-based remuneration package approved by the Board will apply in accordance with the relevant governance framework.

Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be a Pakistani national.
- The required age is between 40 and 58 years on the closing date.
- A degree equivalent to at least 16 years of education is required.
- The qualification must be awarded by an HEC-recognized national or international university or institute.
- Relevant disciplines include Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Law, Social Sciences, or another related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively senior professional experience is mandatory.
- The overall experience may have been gained in reputable national or international organizations within the public, private, multilateral, or development sector.
- At least five years must have been spent in a senior leadership role.
- Relevant leadership exposure may include institutional transformation, large-scale programme management, export promotion, trade facilitation, enterprise development, or commercial P&L management.
- A person dismissed from service on disciplinary grounds is not eligible.
- Anyone convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude is ineligible.
